Have played singleplayer multiple times with no problems. ![]() This worked for me, though I do get the unhandled exception error after I quit that doesn't affect gameplay so I'm done troubleshooting it. Ran the PlugY launcher as Administrator from the Project D2 folder Reinstalled Diablo II (I used the download for 1.13.c someone had offered elsewhere, found that on google)Ĭopied in the PlugY stuff as per the installerĬrucially: put the PlugY stuff in both the Diablo II folder and in the Project D2 folder If you used the Gateway Editor, this doesn't clear that out, it's in its own folder) Uninstalled Project D2 (you can do this later, if you don't do it first)ĭeleted the entire Diablo II file in the registry (I didn't care about resetting any preferences, quite frankly. To fix it, (because I didn't have any saved single player characters, you need to back those up first), here's what I did: When I tried to get PlugY to work, I had the same problem, it was very frustrating. I think many people will have that problem, because they got many D2 copies, I don't know much about registry but it helped me and other person. InstallPath is for main Diablo 2 folder (which contain Pd2), but path is for main folder, NOT for PD2. This is incorrect path: D:\Diablo 2\Project Diablo 2 C:\Games\Diablo II\Diablo II - PD2 Plugy. "win+R" -> "regedit" and hit enter -> "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II" -> find "InstallPath" right click and modify -> enter your diablo 2/ pd2/ plugy directory (where ever/ which ever diablo2 copy you have the plugy mod installed) and click "ok" ie. You may need to edit your registry key for diablo 2.
